So this week we were in Belgium for a few days for a 2-zone conference and we got to hear from the mission president and his wife. Its was great the main theme I got out of it was that a white shirt and name tag don't give you any power to teach, it's your own personal worthiness and your faith. Good message to hear right now for me. We also got one more bit of news from them, we now have to wear bike helmets. we aren't to stoked and the members are kinda furious, but we will follow the rule. As background the dutch people don't wear helmets at all and sometimes you get rocks thrown at you if you do, so it will be awesome to see!
So because of the conference that took up about two days (because of travel) we didn't get to meet with everyone that we wanted to this week, so things are about stagnant. We will have one on the date this week but he has a complicated job situation that he has to get taken care of first so we are hoping he will get that in line before his date! I know he will. Got to go one exchanges with the ZLs (Zone Leaders) his week so i got to teach one of their investigators and we talked about keeping commandments and he had some concerns, but overall it was a good lesson. Anyways I was reading the next morning and a scripture totally hit me and it applied to him very well 1 Nephi 3:7 about the lord providing a way to keep his commandments and I was kinda disappointed that i didn't think about it in the lesson but then his business card fell out of my bag, I had totally forgotten he showed us his new business card and that I had even took one! tender mercy of the Lord right there so I was able to send him an email with the scripture and a short thought. Miracles do happen! I'd say more about our investigators but they are kinda stagnate right now, hopefully next week!
Last experience, and the highlight of this week. So we got a call from the sisters in our area and one of the less actives in the ward wanted to have a blessing because of the hard things going on in her family right now. I was able to give her the blessing and it was so awesome because everything really just came to my head that i thought i should say so it was a really amazing moment especially because I've been trying to be led by the spirit more. And i just had this wonderful warmth in my chest for like 30mins after that just told me good job, you said what you are supposed to. Awesome experience! loved it so much! Miracles are happening all around the field here, wish i had time to actually describe them all!
