Merry Christmas everyone! It was so special to celebrate Christmas on a Sunday! It made it the perfect day! To top it off we had 4 investigators in church! That is the most I've had on my mission so far. Everything was just perfect! Except for the fact that I told Mom and Dad the wrong time for skyping, so I thought they didn't love me when no one picked up the skype call :)
We spent the day with our Bishop and his wife, the Beutes, they were the same family from our Sinterklaas celebration earlier this month. It was so fun to talk to them and play with their kids (4 and 1 years old) #LifeGoals
Now for a long awaited announcement: I'm leaving the office this week! Wednesday is my last day! To copy from one of my favorite songs "your going to miss this, your going to want this back, your going to wish these days didn't go by so fast" -Trace Atkins
I actually sing that song everytime I'm on the train to my next area, while I think about the times I've had during the last however many months. I'm going to miss the office and I expect a pretty hard transition back into the field, but I'm so excited!
So where is Elder Perry headed? Rotterdam! The southern part of the city, as the city is split in half by the huge river/port running through the middle of it. It's Europe's largest port. It has 600K people living in it with over half of the city being made up of surinamesse, turkish, moroccan, and other carribeans. So the goal will be to try a bit of every culture's food!
My address is:
Elder Talyon Perry
Polderlaan 20C
3074 ME Rotterdam
The Netherlands
Till next Monday!
