Note from Mom- this week he goes right into answering questions that I had in my letter so I hope that you can follow along okay. Tuesday August 4th was Talyon's birthday, first birthday down, only one to go :-)
Dear Family,
Loved to hear about your weekend with the Anderson's and the Perry's! And what a nice highlight seeing Jenna also, (I'm a little bias though) ha ha. So I'll answer your questions mom: our investigator R is on date for august 15th! and he should be solid and he's so ready, we are just doing small things like organizing interviews and etc. And yes, we are still teaching with the guy we found on my first week here (a friend of the recent convert) however we didn't last week though. Last week we had to waste a day to travel up to Leiden to get my residency permit, which is so sick-- by the way it's still valid for a month after I get back, so if we do a trip back within that month I'm set! It has gone about a week and a half were it rained everyday, but now its warm again and its very very humid. My Mission president was a head Psychiatric Assistant before the mission, I think. I had interviews with him on Saturday, it went well nothing crazy, but I think he really likes me. He's older and all his kids are married and in their 20s or so. My bike is great! its a pretty nice one, got a steal. Our teaching pool right now is about 15-20 if you include the less actives we need to talk to this week, but about 12 that we teach regularly which is the highest in the mission. This area in Heerlen is called the "promised land"
So best moment is also what I'll share for a spiritual experience. So I had been saying I wanted to be led by the spirit more and I've seen it a few times recently. I've given 3 blessings in the past week including one yesterday. Yesterday it was for an awesome recent convert because he was having reoccurring stomach issues and I had a thought this I should say that they will start to go away, but then I didn't think I should because it could have just been my thoughts but then I felt a warming in my chest that made me say it, which was really cool. Also I am always worried that i didn't say what was needed every time, but every single time I have a real nice warming in my heart about 5 minutes later just reassuring me! love it! life here is great and I get to spend my birthday on exchanges with my old MTC Comp for the day! yeah they are sending the two new greenies together ha ha! It will be great!
