Note from Mom...This past week Talyon sent a personal letter home instead of a blog post but I felt like it wasn't to personal that it couldn't be shared, so hopeful he's not disappointed I decided to share it.
So this week has been crazy and I don't have a ton of time so I'm not sending out a group, just for the family this week. So we have had a ton of cool travel things this week. First on our way to Brussels we stopped in Liege for a while and the train station there is actually used as a building in the movie Guardians of the Galaxy! I think its the NOVA core headquarters building if i remember right. I'll attach some pictures so maybe you can recognize it or next time you watch it you can recognize it, but it is absolutely beautiful.
Then we went to Brussels to apply for my residency permit. We had some time in brussels (pics will follow all this stuff) we saw the city square and go frites and waffles like you have to do when you are there! they are amazing! got a chocolate banana waffle like you would expect haha!
Saturday we got to see the Tour of Netherlands go through Heerlen and we did some contacting while we waited for them to come through. it was quick but team sky was there, so that was really cool to see.
Yesterday we went to Vaals in he southern tip of the country and saw the Drie Landen Punt. That's where Netherlands/Belgium/Germany all meet! it also is the highest elevation in the country at a whole 326 meters -hahah, flattest country in the world!
I swear we've been doing missionary work too haha had a slow week lots of cancelled appointments but that being said, we still got 10 lessons which was great, so i can't really complain. No one is progressing right now but have a few that have potential who came to church but i haven't taught them so idk he full situation.
So for the bad part... I'm losing my trainer Wednesday. He got called to be a ZL in Antwerp. So I'm getting elder Thom from Suriname in the Caribbean. [Note: it's considered a caribbean country but it's actually located on the South American Continent above Brazil]. I'm going to have a black brother! finally! haha He's native Dutch so my language should improve a lot with him. but still kinda frustrated and sad to see Elder Hirsch go... my Christlike attribute this week will be humility (in reference to accepting the lords changes) so give it time... also both the sisters are going to be replaced by elders! so I'm the only one familiar with the area so I have to make sure both of our people gets visited this week. so prayers for my sanity and comfort this week would be great!
