This has been one crazy week!
Monday was the first day using the new numbers system and it worked perfectly! What a relief! Over the course of the week I was polishing it up and trying to create graphs with the data, but I got too busy and hardly any of it got done! I have one too many projects to work on at the moment.
Wednesday we had a great zone conference focused completely on the restoration. President Bunnell gave a great talk about all of the people and events that prepared the world for the restoration, and it was truly amazing. So many reformers, philosophers, and government officials played roles in creating an environment and legal society where it was possible for Joseph Smith to help restore the church. It was also really odd to realize that there was only 1 person at conference older than me and my MTC group (older in mission time) Time flies! Amazing to think that I'm now on the older side.
Thursday: Signed a ton of senior couples into the city of Leiden, another step in European legal policy. This coming week I have to sign like 14 missionaries. Anyway I Love the senior couples, and I especially love watching them with each other. It is so funny and cute how well they know each other. The patience they have for each other, the way they joke with each other, and everything really warms my heart.
Friday: I can drive a stick shift! It is official! My 3rd time ever driving a stick. I went all the way down to Brussels in Belgium and drove around in their busiest city of the country. So I'm pretty proud of myself! It was pretty stressful though, but glad it is over now. When we got to the government building everything was dark and closed. haha Luckily we found the lady we needed to see on her way out. She had even forgotten to tell me that the place was closed! She was still able to do everything, so it wasn't a wasted trip!
Well this week I'm going to be busy again trying to catch up on projects. Love it here!
