Hows it going guys?
So we are now using the library to email and paying insanely high prices to email. So this week we taught this guy that came and self referred himself, GK (that's what I'll use for him) and it was great. He was crying because he said he really needs God in his life right now, and he was so happy that we are there to help him. He was a little unsure about the Book Of Mormon, but he loved that it has the references to the bible on the bottom, so he said it obviously must support it if we have that. it was awesome and something I've never thought about personally when looking at the references!
We had an awesome lesson with a less active lady, Sister VDB, she had a friend there as well, that isn't religious so we taught him about miracles and prayer. Its was great there was a definite spirit there, and he went from not wanting to have anything to do with religion to letting us have his contact information so that we can teach him again. The sister also gave us a potential referral for another friend. Amazing how every person I've met that isn't currently active, still has a testimony of the gospel in their heart, its just a matter of helping them rekindle that fire so that they can feel that joy back in their life again!
So ill leave with a thought I had on Sunday, we were reading Alma 32 about the seed of faith. I challenge you all to read that chapter this week! It talks about how we can grow faith and it turns into knowledge. For example if we read the Book Of Mormon, we see the joy it brings into our life, so we have knowledge that it can bring us joy. We all have had faith at some time and tried to take steps to follow Christ and we have seen blessings (the fruit) of doing these things. But just like my favorite meals back home, if you don't have these experiences often, then we forget what we have felt in the past. That's why its so important to have continued conversion! My challenge for you family and friends this week is for you to think about how you can improve your efforts to keep yourself continually converted. I know that as you do think about this and put it into action, that you will be blessed with more strength and peace in your life!
Love you all!
