Hello everyone!
This week was a quick one in Rotterdam. Some quick highlights: Went on two exchanges with elders in my zone. One of them was with my old companion Elder Howard, it was awesome to be with him again and to be able to teach a few awesome lessons with him.
I went to a baby funeral for child of one of our ward members. The wife was in a bus crash and it forced the baby to be born a couple months early so they baby only lasted 5 days before passing. It was super depressing, but also inspirational to see that the people that were the most calm were the parents of the child. They shared that they had strong spiritual experiences that completely calmed their hearts after the incident! Amazing to see how we grow through our challenges.
A Muslim guy that we contacted us brought us to a store and bought us energy drinks. I haven't drunk one for a long time, but it was just funny that he did that without us even asking. We spent lots of the week contacting referrals from the Facebook DVD campaign I worked on while I was in the office. It is awesome to see a couple potentials out of that.
The work is really slow in our area. We have tons of potentials but none of them care enough to follow through with appointments or to let us in. It's pretty normal to have 15-20 lessons planned in a week and for none of them to go through. It's a constant cycle of finding new potentials and letting them go when they never amount to much. Hopefully a few of our appointments this week actually go through!!!
Love you!
