Hey how is everyone doing? So this was another slower week so the update will be pretty slow itself as well. This week we went and ate another Kilo Burger to welcome Elder Harp to the 4 man; that was delicious as usual. No we haven't taught Job again, he's been busy, but he did drunk call us the other night after he told us he would stop drinking, so we have a lot of work to do. haha We had a great lesson with a girl named Sophie, our second lesson. we didn't teach much new but we did answer lots of questions and became friends with her, so that opened her up quite a bit and I think the future lessons will be better because of it (shes going out of town soon so we wont meet for like 2 weeks).
So fun thing to look forward to is this Saturday: Ron is coming down from Emmen to meet me for lunch! we are going to a very famous Poffertje place (kinda like those Aebleskiver or what ever they are called that we used to eat on holidays).
The fun highlights of the week was doing tons of service! We did a branch service project and help walk old people around the city because they never get visitors. It was amazing! The lady I was with hadn't been outside for 2 years! I can't even imagine that. It really made me appreciate what we have, and of course, it was fun to hang out with the old people!!! Also one of the days we were out knocking doors we saw an old lady working on her yard, so we stopped and spent like 2 hours planting new plants and talking with this sweet lady. It really brightened up my day. We may not have found an investigator the whole week but just being able to help that one sweet lady made the whole week worth it! the power of service is amazing!
