So this week we had the great opportunity to go do service with Ramon Van Damme and Johan Van Damme (2 of the 4 Van Damme families) we chopped wood for like 3 hours. The two guys worked the chain saws and me, Elder Dearden, and Enrico (a kid from the branch) used the axes to split the wood and throw it in the trailers. It was fun work, but then the first incident happened... as we were trying to prop a big log up to cut it Ramon dropped it on my hand and now my hand is half swollen and purple-- i don't need to go to the hospital mom, but will have some strong bruising on a few knuckles. so continuing to incident number 2. As we were driving to drop off Enrico the trailer axles popped off. haha! So we had to dump the wood off at a random guys house and use another trailer to carry the first trailer home. haha It was so funny. I can't do it justice but we were all dying about it. On the bright side it was super fun and we went out to dinner with the whole VD clan after at a really delicious Chinese place like 30 minutes into Germany. Loved it all!
So we are having a Foosball tourney this morning so I've got to be fast but we had a really cool lesson (a second lesson) with someone that claimed to only want to know about the church and didn't want to convert. well she read Alma 32 and she talked to us about her struggles and she committed to pray to see if god was real! So cool, and great to really teach to someones needs instead of some kinda route scriptures and lesson points!
