To start, Happy 4th of July. we are doing a big BBQ as a zone today for p-day which will give us a bit of fun. not the same but still something!
Ron update: Ron just got the Aaronic Priesthood this last week or 2. Super sick to see him continuing to progress in the gospel! love you Ron!
We again had a week highlighted by bike problems :( luckily none of them were mine. Elder Harp had one bike and it broke, so he fixed up a bike in the shed from an old elder, then that bike broke again and had to re-fix it. We spent about 7 hours working on the bike which destroyed lots of finding opportunities this week. So that was the center of most if not all of my frustrations this week. On the bright side we did bike to this really cool medieval fortress on the way to an appt and hopefully there are a couple good photos from it. But glad to have fixed bikes finally!
Well this week was very very slow. we taught 2 lessons during the week. Luckily one of them was really cool! We met this British girl knocking and set up an appointment with her for last week, but when we went there she wasn't home which usually means "I'm not interested" but we were in her area and we decided to knock on her door and give it a last try, so we did and she said "sorry guys I'd let you in but my boyfriend is sleeping" (she had said that as an excuse the first time we met her) so we thought it was a no then out of nowhere she said "but I guess you guys can just tell me in the kitchen" Sick! We told her all about the Restoration and she was open to read, so we will teach her how to read (not to read in general, but how to read and learn from the scriptures) this coming week. Hopefully we can do some service for her too, because their yard is a mess and she has a back problem that prevents her from being able to work on it or even have a job. Really excited about this coming week, possibly my last here in Hilversum.
