So this week was a great week. I'll quickly tell a story that helps you understand the Belgian people and culture we work with. So we have a leak in one of our shower pipes that we've been trying to get fixed, so we call the landlord and he says he will send someone to fix it. so Monday we have a guy come over look at the leak and then leave without saying a thing. so we call the landlord again and he tells us he will send someone to fix it again. This guy shows up and we tell him where the leak is and he tells us he needs to check something on our balcony and he goes there and just sits for 5-10 mins and tells us he doesn't feel like fixing the leak today so he just looked at it for 1min and left again. So yeah, after all that we still have a leak.... Belgians...
Tuesday we had 2 great lessons, the first was our lesson with AH she is a new investigator that has been looking for answers for a while now. We shared with her a lesson about the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ. She has great questions and she pretty much told us that she would love to meet the members (especially for a joint teach) so she could hear how the message has helped them. Super great lady! Next was a quick one with G, we talked about the Book Of Mormon and reading in it to try to anchor him in it more, hes a great guy just need to get him to read more. Thursday we had a conference with the missionaries and we talked a lot about how we can used pamphlets to create a better teaching environment and give spiritual experiences rather than lessons. very excited to try it out. We had a half day on Friday of work because Elder McBride was sick. Saturday we when caroling with a member to a few old ladies in our ward. one of them gave us each over 1 pound of the best chocolates in Antwerp-en, This company sells more chocolate around the world than any other place in the city. They are amazing! And that old lady was so sweet, to do that for us!
So i guess for the real news, I'm once again getting transferred haha- 4th city in 5 transfers! At this rate, by the time I get done with the mission, I'll have served in like every ward. haha I'll be heading up to Emmen Netherlands, a tiny little town on the north east border of Germany. so here's my address of the place ill be living in for the next two weeks (till i get transferred again, haha)
