So I'm going to get the big news out of the way first: Ron is on date! He is getting baptized on April 30th (which I could be transferred out before then) but hopefully I'll still be here or close by. He bore his testimony in church (4th time straight) and told the whole ward about his date! And even cooler he asked me and Elder Dearden to be his witnesses at the baptism (basically to stand there and make sure he goes under the water all the way).
Continuing on with Ron: He and Esther took us out to dinner at an all you can eat Pannekeoken place and it was so delicious! And they were huge. Yes dad i did get chocolate banana for my first one and then switched it up with the bacon and cheese for the next one. Anyways, it was so fun with them and awesome that we've kinda become like Ron's sons now (never had any children), so we have a very good relationship with each other.
So yes mom, transfers are Wednesday. Elder Dearden is heading out to Rosendaal, south west part of the Netherlands. and I'm getting Elder Jardine. He's been on his mission 4-5 months longer than me, so yeah I'm getting an older comp, which will help my Dutch a ton.
Last story (very quick), a member brought a friend to the Christmas party back when I first got here and we met him on the door this last week and gave him the first lesson. I don't think he's really that interested but still a cool story to tell those members. Better yet, a guy called the cop on us and we almost got arrested for trying to rob people (lots of robberies in the netherlands recently). haha. He told the cops that people say they are Americans in the area giving a free book to people as a way to get in their home. So yeah, he got the first part right, but a slight confusion on why we wanted to get into peoples house :) but it all worked out in the end! just a funny story!
